Amakashino-oka Hills
An easy climb to the top of Amakashino-oka rewards you with a splendid outlook over the Asuka area. The view of the mountains surrounding Asuka and the lush, thick forest of Amakashino-oka itself remain today much as they were in the days of Empress Suiko. Flowers that appear in the Man’yoshu poetry anthology can be seen along the Man’yo Botanical Garden Road, a walking trail that winds through the Amakashino-oka area.
